When to use this guide
Use this guide when TradeVulcan discovers your Facebook Page but reports that the Page does not have a linked Instagram account. TradeVulcan can only offer Instagram as a Proof Pulse destination after Meta reports an eligible Instagram Professional account linked to that Page.
Facebook, Instagram, Meta Business Suite, and their account settings are provided by Meta. TradeVulcan is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta. Menu names can vary by account, device, and Page experience.
Before you begin
- Confirm the Instagram profile is a Professional account. A Business account is the recommended account type for a contractor business using TradeVulcan publishing workflows.
- Confirm the Instagram profile is public. Instagram Professional accounts cannot be private.
- Use a Facebook login that has Facebook access or the appropriate task access to the Page you want to connect.
- Have the Instagram login available and complete any two-factor authentication prompts.
- Make sure you are linking the same Facebook Page that appears in the TradeVulcan Meta connector.
Option 1: Link from the Facebook Page
- Sign in to Facebook.
- Select your profile picture, choose See all profiles, and switch into the Facebook Page you want Proof Pulse to use.
- Open the Page profile menu, then choose Settings & privacy and Settings.
- Under Permissions, open Linked accounts.
- Next to Instagram, select View, then select Connect account.
- Sign in to the correct Instagram Professional account and follow Meta's prompts to finish the connection.
If your Page uses a different settings layout, use Meta's current Facebook Page and Instagram connection instructions.
Option 2: Link from the Instagram mobile app
- Open the Instagram app and go to the Professional profile you want to connect.
- Select Edit profile.
- Under Public business information, select Page.
- Select Continue, sign in to Facebook if asked, and choose the correct Facebook Page.
- Select Connect to finish.

Confirm the link in Meta
- Return to the Facebook Page's Settings, open Linked accounts, and confirm the expected Instagram username appears.
- In Instagram, open Edit profile and confirm the Page field shows the expected Facebook Page.
- If either surface shows a different Page or Instagram profile, correct that connection before returning to TradeVulcan.
Refresh the connection in TradeVulcan
- Return to the TradeVulcan Dashboard, open Connectors, then select Meta.
- Select Reauthorize Meta or Reconnect authorization.
- Continue with the same Facebook login that can manage the linked Page and approve the requested access. Do not remove Page or Instagram permissions from the authorization screen.
- After you return to TradeVulcan, find the Facebook Page under Authorized Meta accounts and confirm the linked Instagram account is displayed.
- Open Proof Pulse destinations and select the Instagram account if you want that deployment to use it.
If Instagram still does not appear
- The Facebook Page is missing in Instagram: verify your Facebook login has access to that Page.
- The Instagram profile cannot be selected: confirm it is a Professional account and that it is not already linked to a different Page.
- Meta shows the link but TradeVulcan does not: reauthorize Meta after the link is complete so TradeVulcan can refresh the Pages Meta returns.
- Publishing permission is missing: reconnect with a Facebook user who has the Page permissions needed to create and manage Page content.
Never send Facebook or Instagram passwords, access tokens, or two-factor authentication codes to TradeVulcan support. If the link is correct in Meta and a fresh authorization still does not discover it, contact support with the Facebook Page name and Instagram username only.
