Start with a trusted scorecard
Vulcan Intelligence can explain available workspace metrics and help turn an approved scorecard into a coaching plan. Identify the source, reporting period, department and metric definitions before asking for conclusions. A company revenue aggregate is not a technician profitability report.
The documented Work action catalog does not provide dedicated controls for changing Vulcan Score KPI profiles, targets, contests, rewards or compensation settings. Review and apply those changes in Vulcan Score itself.
Choose the evidence for the question
- Use the appropriate Vulcan Score report or a current permitted workspace reporting result.
- Check whether the figures are complete aggregates or only selected records.
- State the employee or department context that is actually represented by the data.
- Ask for observations first, then coaching recommendations, with missing coverage called out.
An example coaching request
Using this approved service-team scorecard for the stated month, summarize two strengths and three coaching priorities. Preserve the definitions of booking rate, average ticket and gross margin. Separate observed results from hypotheses. Create a Word coaching brief; do not change targets or rewards.
Work should not infer net profit from revenue alone, treat estimated opportunity value as collected money, or assume that a small record sample represents every job. Where accounting or departmental classification is incomplete, the report should state that limitation.
Make the recommendations usable
Ask for a manager discussion guide, observable behavior to practice, and the metric you will review next time. Avoid labeling people based on one low-volume period. Include workload, lead mix and data-quality questions where the evidence cannot explain a result.
Generated coaching can be edited before sharing. A file card is a private deliverable, not a message to the employee, a change to a contest or a certified accounting report. Use the appropriate communication and approval process for distribution.
Close the loop in the app
Verify actual KPI definitions, ownership, goals and data health in Vulcan Score. If a field is wrong, correct it through its supported configuration workflow before comparing periods. Keep a record of definition changes so they do not look like performance changes.
For a proposed operational change in another app, such as improving a Close Forge draft, start that app’s own Work workflow with a selected target and explicit approval. A coaching recommendation alone does not authorize it.
