Pair Vulcan Voice with Call Spark

Connect AI answering to your phone workspace, human team, call intelligence and follow-up without overlapping ownership.

Give each product a clear job

Vulcan Voice is the conversational AI answering agent. Call Spark is the connected calling and call-intelligence workspace for the wider phone operation. Together they can support a staff-first, AI-first or mixed front desk without treating AI answering and human calling as separate business processes.

Use the Call Spark product page for its phone, scorecard, analysis and recovery capabilities. This guide explains how to coordinate those capabilities with a Voice agent; it does not replace Call Spark's own deployment setup.

Choose which system owns routing

Document the advertised business number, staff ring group, AI answering line, after-hours schedule and office handoff destination. Configure the actual call route in the phone system that owns the number. The Voice wizard configures the agent and its assigned line; it does not silently reconfigure every upstream phone system.

Avoid loops and duplicate owners. For example, the AI should not transfer back into a ring group that immediately overflows to the same AI. Keep the route and the conversational after-hours policy aligned.

Coordinate recovery and follow-up

Decide what happens when a call is missed, a request is saved, or an appointment is confirmed. Call Spark recovery and AI SMS workflows should support the next step rather than sending competing follow-ups after the issue is already resolved.

Assign one responsible workflow or person for each outcome. Use the relevant messaging permissions and consent settings. Connecting Voice does not by itself authorize a new SMS sequence, outbound campaign or repeated callback.

Read the right report

The Vulcan Voice dashboard counts Voice-origin customer interactions. Separate Call Spark and Sales Voice records are not simply added into those totals. An AI-to-human handoff is one Voice interaction, not a second independent call merely because another connection leg exists.

Use Call Spark's applicable reporting for the broader human phone operation and its CSR scorecards, recordings, transcripts and call analysis. Use Voice analytics for the scoped AI call outcomes and live-agent behavior. When comparing totals, match time zone, date range, numbers and call scope first.

Verify the full chain

  1. Confirm the agent works on its direct line.
  2. Test the configured route from the business number.
  3. Verify a staff-answer case, an AI-answer case and a human handoff.
  4. Inspect the saved lead or appointment and any approved recovery action.
  5. Confirm no duplicate follow-up is triggered by the same test.

Start with one route and a small set of outcomes. A connected front desk is defined by reliable ownership and follow-through, not by enabling every available automation at once.
